Aaron Garcia is a 2028 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Pico Rivera, CA who attends Trinity League. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.56 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, slight turn behind plate in drills, receives the ball out front, lower transfer while gaining ground with footwork, quick release and accurate throws with solid carry and arm strength down to second base. Versatile defender, moves well in the infield with fluid footwork, shows nice lateral range to either side, extra step into release but big arm across diamond, maintains slot and shows accuracy to first. Clean gather and transition in the outfield, comes and gets it well while working behind the ball, continued to show big arm strength there. Also pitched, simple delivery and comes down mound well, extended three-quarters slot, solid arm speed through backside. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, got in on hitters, able to induce weak contact while mixing a sweeping curveball with some depth to it to keep hitters off balance. Right-handed hitter, begins with a lower hand set at the plate with a medium base and even stance. Longer stride moving into swing, contact oriented approach, linear path with all fields contact, occasionally gets to front side early, ball comes off well to the middle of the field with line drive carry, tools to build upon moving forward. Excellent student. Named to the 2023 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.
