Mekhi Brewer is a 2024 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Hobbs, NM who attends Hobbs. Big physical frame with strength throughout. Ran a 7.03 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves around the outfield with confidence and clean footwork, plays up to the ball with good timing and stays through it well into release, up to 83 to bags and arm plays well. Also pitches, simple two-pitch mix, longer arm stroke and stays on line well, has some arm speed and already up to 84 with the fastball, slider plays well from his slot as he gets around it and creates good horizontal action with good spin. Left-handed hitter, even base and big move in, fires everything hard and on time to impact the ball to the pull side; has some length through the zone but no problem creating leverage and launch on the front side, strength projects in a big way to the pull side. Named to Sunshine Texas Top Prospect List.
