Riley Huggins is a 2027 RHP/C with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Gaston, SC who attends Gray Collegiate Academy. Medium frame with well proportioned strength and room to add more. Ran a 7.46 in the sixty yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, over the head delivery in the wind up, stays tall on the back side and powers the ball through the zone, fuller quicker arm stroke to a high 3/4 release, power and balance in the lower half, fastball explodes out of hand and holds plane, big carry to the pitch, swing and miss pitch that looks as if its rising at times, developing feel for a breaking ball, will continue to improve with a more consistent secondary offering. Arm strength carried over to infield and outfield drills. Also worked out at catcher, stays low throughout, gains ground directional to second base, on line accurate throws, popped a 2.04 in drill work. Right handed hitter, high hand set, creates length through the zone with extension out front, natural feel to hit the ball in the air, consistently on time with gap to gap contact.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
