Rene Rios Jr is a 2026 3B/RHP, 1B, 2B, SS with a 5-1 132 lb. frame from Edinburg, TX who attends Economedes. Young, square shouldered frame, has room to continue to develop moving forward. Ran a 9.36 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, slight bend to knees fielding, works through the ball with lower half, shorter arm action on throws with developing arm strength, makes the plays and hands work at the ball. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the ball. Uses a toe tap moving into a leg lift for timing in the box, gets uphill with swing path at times, keeps hands inside the ball, repeats swing and bat speed will continue to make strides with added strength.
