Yariel Negron is a 2025 2B/SS with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Guanica, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. A compact frame with a lean build. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop who has a real wide base, fielding the ball bent at the waist with the ability to work the backhand smoothly. Threw 75 mph across the diamond and recorded outs during his round of defense. A right-handed hitter. Starts with a spread and open stance to start, with the hands high and back elbow up. Had a level path to get the barrel on the ball, looking to get the job done working with line drive contact. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
