David Stimpson is a 2023 SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Meriden, CT who attends Francis T. Maloney. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, lean build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball with longer strides going to the backhand, works into a shorter arm action through the backside, shows accuracy on throws across the diamond, moves well with some body control on the charge play. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Short swing overall and shows quickness to hands, can implement additional extension out front at point of contact. Shows some present jump off of the barrel with bat speed through the zone, swings with intent and works to the gaps. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
