Braize Mitchell is a 2022 C with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Amarillo, TX who attends Amarillo. Recorded a 7.36 second 60 yard dash time. Primary catcher with a high side straddle set up and long arm action. Transfers at the chest, gains some ground towards second base. Needs to replace the feet and work through the ball. Will improve as he quickens up the actions. Right-handed hitter with some rhythm to his operation, flat bat path with the occasional lift at contact, shows good carry when lifted, would like to see more of that. Gets the barrel head out well, shows strength in the hands, impacts the ball to the middle of the field. Shows feel for the bat with raw power present. Good student.
