Benjamin Meza is a 2024 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Fillmore, CA who attends St. Bonaventure. He ran a 7.60 second sixty. A primary first baseman with a larger build. At first base he showed young footwork with developing feel for the glove, his throws showed some carry across the diamond to third with a longer arm action. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base using no stride in the lower half and a quick coil in the upper half, he showed some hand speed coming through the zone using the middle of the filed mostly by throwing his hands at the baseball. He will get more power out of his swing when he gets tehlower half more involved in the swing. Excellent student.
