DeAndre Rodríguez is a 2026 3B/UT with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Rio Grande City, TX who attends Rio Grande City. Longer frame with square shoulders and a high waist, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, extra step working through the ball at release,, shows some carry across with effort on throws, showed ability to drop slot, will continue to refine overall actions. Fields it out front in the outfield as well with some bend at waist, shows looseness to arm, takes short steps on the approach, remains tall at release and can incorporate additional lower half into actions. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open and narrow stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate. Tends to get mistimed moving into contact but shows looseness to swing and generates carry off of the barrel when squared. Strides into contact, shows quickness and will unlock additional strength with separation out front.
