Joevansky Velez is a 2025 SS/ with a 6-1 179 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR. Long, lean build with larger frame and a lot of time to add physicality. Moves good and showed some twitch at times. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.12 seconds. Primary position IF, really showing good footwork, creating proper angles and working through the ball nicely. Glove works well and quick midline transfer puts him in good position to throw. Longer arm action and excellent carry on his throws that were on point. The whole operation works well and looks the part. Switch hitter, working with an even balanced stance from the left side. High back elbow with high hands serving balls to the left side early in round. Very active rotational lower-half. From the right side, same stance using hanging leg lift trigger for timing. More juice from this side and more direct to the ball. Good extension to the ball. Should play from both sides of the plate throughout career. Very good student who is uncommitted.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
