Gavin Huffmaster is a 2025 RHP/1B, OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from San Ramon, CA who attends Dougherty Valley. Recorded a 7.76 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with an athletic build and good physical projection. Primary right-handed pitcher with low hands when set, has a slow turn to square and then drives his front side to the plate. Hides the ball well and shows sink to the fastball, both add some deception to the look. Short arm action with some stab in the back, utilizes a compact operation. Curveball showed solid break for his age. Would push his fastball at times, was at his best when reaching extension out front. Secondary outfielder, fields balls in the middle of his body with two hands, will improve as he plays through the ball rather than stopping his momentum to field. Developing arm strength and accuracy to the throws, has a great chance to add strength in the future. Right-handed hitter with decent bat speed and hand quickness for his age, was able to find the barrel consistently, shows a downhill swing path. Has some feel for the barrel, slices the ball towards right field, has good potential with small mechanical improvements and a better barrel/hand path. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
