Walter Argrett is a 2025 1B/RHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who is home schooled. Large, square shouldered frame with long limbs and present strength, additional room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.33 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, charge in on the ball, extra step through release, glove works out front at the ball, long arm action with a higher three-quarters release on throws, will continue to refine footwork off the bag and on turns. Also pitched, side step at start working into a higher leg lift, deliberate tempo to delivery, medium arm stroke and works to an over-the-top release point. Worked around the zone, can finish over front side more at release, fastball topped out at 70 mph and showed a pair of secondary pitches in his slider and changeup. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a wide base; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Keeps hands inside the ball, will unlock more strength with extension out front, creates lift to swing path and looks to elevate aat point of contact, shows ability to work to the opposite field. Excellent student.
