Austin Smith is a 2026 OF/RHP, C, 1B, 3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Frisco, TX who attends Prestonwood Christian Academy. Posted a 7.56 in the 60. Primary OF with a medium athletic build, showed awareness for the position with room to polish fundamental actions. Versatile athlete showed some playable feel for the infield as well, the arm works effectively with some strength to project on, and the present athleticism showed great upside given room to refine the young defensive actions as he matures. On the mound the right-hander topped the fastball out at 77 with developing secondary offerings. Showed a decent feel to pitch and clean mechanics in the delivery. Can draw difficult at-bats with his low 3/4 slot release, progressing pitchability with excellent use of athleticism across his tools. Right-handed hitter starts with an even base staying compact through the zone with some strength at contact. Bat speed projects well, the swing is consistent with quickness and a leap in effectiveness to watch for down the road. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
