Raul Adrian Montoya is a 2027 SS/2B with a 5-4 110 lb. frame from Pharr, TX who attends Robert Vela. Compact, wiry build with room for added growth. Ran a 8.97 in the sixty. Infielder, fields in middle well and shows the pocket. Developing actions to either side, comfortable mover for age. Developing arm strength with good accuracy to the bag. Right-handed pitcher, short and simple three-quarter release with a clean leg lift. Shorter arm action. Showed feel for both his fastball and curveball, with his breaker being the most advanced at present with solid shape and depth out of hand. Right-handed hitter, spread stance and higher hand set. Works from an uphill plane with developing bat speed. Worked the barrel to the middle of the field and showed some feel for taking it where it's given. Can incorporate more lower half weight shift as he matures.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
