TJ Byrd is a 2026 RHP/3B, IF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Helotes, TX who attends Brandeis. Taller and slender frame. Ran a 8.00 60-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a semi windup delivery, drop and drive mechanics and a three-quarter arm slot. Long stride down the mound with some moving parts that are difficult to repeat. Fastball has cutting action in the low 70's and the curve showed slurve type shape. Developing strike throwing ability. Developing actions as an infielder as well to go with present average arm strength. Hit from an even base at the plate with loose bat speed and a level bat path through the zone. Swing is in sync and connected with the lower half. Consistently on plane with the baseball, has a real foundation to build upon at the plate. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
