2021 California Workout Camp Session 2
Jaxon Baker is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Vista Murrieta. He ran a 7.28 second sixty. A primary left-handed pitcher with a long lanky build. On the mound he takes a leg lift above the belt with a well controlled repeatable operation, his arm works long through the back up to a high three-quarters arm slot, he showed average arm speed with the fastball sitting in the 76-79 mph range, he showed developing feel for a curveball with 11-5 shape and a straight changeup in the low 70's. In the outfield he waited back on the ball fielding it out front and uses a shuffle to get his momentum into his throws with developing arm strength. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base using a leg lift trigger to start the swing with a level bat path, he has some strength in the hands at the point of contact working best up the middle to the pull side. Good student.
