Matthew Magette is a 2026 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends Cypress Bay. Slender young build with lots of growing ahead of him. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced straight stance with a deep back shift load, tends to stay over his back side in his swing, has good hands with some quickness and barrel to ball skills, uphill swing plane, ability to use his lower half will improve as he gets stronger. 8.72 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, is balanced and under control working through the ball, some idea on his footwork, arm strength still developing. Also played the infield. Took a turn on the mound, big rocker step start to his delivery, compact high 3/4's arm slot. Threw lots of strikes with a fastball that topped out at 68 mph, also showed good feel for a soft curveball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
