Kay-Lan Nicasia is a 2021 SS/RHP, OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Champagnat Cath Sch Of Miami. Large frame with a lean build showing broad shoulders and room to fill out elsewhere in the future. Ran a 6.89 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, rounds the baseball smoothly as he proved to have lateral range. Confident with the glove as he scooped it up and worked into a quick transfer. Great hands as he was confident in his actions. Released with intent as he threw it 86 mph with accuracy. Projects in a big way at shortstop as he has the physicality and the fundamentals. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, showing a balanced delivery as he filled up the zone repeatedly. Long arm action in the back and then released from a three-quarter slot. Fastball up to 83 mph as he looked to get ahead early in counts with it. Did not show any off-speed pitches. Secondary Outfielder, similar actions in the outfield as the athleticism translated here. Gathered to the side and then worked into a full arm action. Looked to carry the baseball all the way to target as he threw it 91 mph during drills. Switch Hitter, from the left-side, spread out in the stance and balanced. Toe tap to stride and then lands in a ready position. Top hand strong type swing as he looked to pull the baseball when possible. From the right-side, much more confident from this side as he loads up and then fires the hips. Bat speed showing to be stronger on this side as well as he swung it with intent. Ball jumped off the barrel as he drove it into the pull-side gap with ease. Good Student. Named to World Uncommitted Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
