Cruz Cima is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Corbin, KY who attends Corbin. Features a lean build with room to add more. Ran an 8.06 60-yard dash. Put together a solid defensive workout in the outfield. Showed the ability to create momentum to and through the ball. Caught the ball cleanly out front on a consistent basis. Quick arm action produced throws with on-line carry. Was accurate with a majority of throws. Threw 81 mph during outfield workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a short stride timing mechanism. Stretches the hands deep into stance during pre-pitch load. Showed the ability to use strength in the box. Helps drive the ball with authority on occasion. Developing more lower half usage would help boost power within the profile. Threw the ball well as righthanded pitcher. Uses a high leg kick into a tall and fall delivery. Long stride gets down the mound well. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with the ability to get good extension out front. The fastball sat 75-78 mph on a downhill plane with slight armside run. Displayed the ability to move it to both sides of the plate. Paired the heater with a sharp 12-6 curveball that sat in the low-60’s. The offering has enough depth to miss bats. Also flashed a changeup with some tumbling action. Still developing feel for the offering, but the movement will miss bats on occasion. Quality three-pitch mix overall with room and time to continue to develop. Very good student.
