Luke Brister is a 2025 2B/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Deridder, LA who attends South Beauregard. Primary infielder with an athletic, projectable build. Ran a 7.35 second sixty. The actions on the infield shows solid upside with quickness in the footwork. Does a nice job receiving the ball out front and taking a gather before the throw across. Arm strength is present with young accuracy on the throws while showing some different arm slots on the move. Works from the first base side of the rubber on the mound with a big side step into a belt high leg lift with the hands dropping down to the belt. The arm works on a clean track through the back to a three-quarters arm slot while staying on a direct path with the lower half down the hill. The fastball sat in the upper 70's topping out at 81 mph with more in the tack as he continues to mature. Mixed in a curveball with two plane shape in the upper 60's as well as a mid 60's changeup that fades as he kills the spin well on the offering. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base and high hand set. Using a hanging leg lift trigger loads the weight well on the back side getting into the power in the lower half. Bat path shows some loft with an ability to impact the ball best to the pull side when the uncoil is on time and. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
