John Wade is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Houma, LA who attends Vandebilt Catholic. Big and strong young build with more strength to come. High leg raise delivery, tall and fall mechanics, lands open out front, can get into his strong lower half more for additional arm speed, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, fairly compact arm action. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight with good downhill angle. Threw a short slider as his second pitch, threw strikes with both pitches and challenged hitters. More in the arm with mechanical adjustments. 7.69 runner in the sixty, has first base tools on defense but also showed some carry on his throws from third base. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow and open stance, backside hitter with a backwards lean to start his swing, upper body rotational arm driven swing. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
