2023 PG Underclass All-American Games
Daniel Rivera is a 2025 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Yucaipa, CA who attends Arrowhead Christian Academy. Compact build with strength throughout the frame. Left-handed hitter, medium and even base, slight leg lift trigger stride, short and direct path to the baseball and good extension, uses the entire field. Showed good loft to the path with ability to impact to the pull-side, projects nicely at the top of the order. Primary outfielder, smooth actions working to grounders, fields it with one hand, carries the weight through and works through the baseball nicely, medium arm circle in the back, ball comes out good with carry to the bag and big arm strength. Recorded throws up to 91 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, athleticism plays on the mound, quick arm action to a high three-quarters slot. Worked with a fastball heavy diet early on and pounded the zone, fastball sat in the 85-88 mph range with command to both sides. Showed a curveball with 1-7 shape in the mid-70s (2248 RPM) and also mixed in a changeup in the mid-70s with fading action (1848 RPM).
