Samuel Miller is a 2027 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Jackson Prep. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to fill moving forward. Ran an 8.00 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, stays back on the ball, deliberate tempo to actions, shows quickness to arm action and nice present arm strength and carry on throws across the diamond, plays tall, can continue to refine footwork in overall movements. Also pitched, steady pace to delivery, shorter stride coming down the mound while working to a higher three-quarters release point. Arm works well and showed strength with a fastball up to 80 mph, will continue to refine a consistent release point; curveball is best of two secondary pitches, lands it for strikes and shows tightness with 11-5 shape up to 63 mph. Right-handed hitter, bbegisn with an even stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow in the box; utilizes a longer stride moving into contact. Works best when on a linear path through the zone, stays short, employs a double toe tap trigger for timing. Comfort creating contact to the pull side, hands stay tight, occasionally gets downward with path. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
