Roman Hernandez is a 2027 LHP/1B with a 5-11 133 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Henry J. Kaiser. Features a medium frame with a lean/wiry build. Ran an 8.47 60-yd dash. At 1B, he showed fundamental actions. Softness to the hands with quality footwork that fielded everyball clean while also showing quickness on his DPs. At the plate, he sits in a balanced stance with hands tight to his body. Loads early getting engaged with his backhip, using a shorter stride, and hands that get the barrel flat to his shoulder. His bat works on a level path through with a shorter finish. Lacks impact currently but showed present barrel control. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch for a more tall/fall type delivery. Arm worked longer out the glove with avg. armspeed to release for his level at a normal ¾ slot. His fastball worked in the mid 60s and flashed a breaking ball in the mid 50s.
