Jake Tracy is a 2023 C/1B with a 6-3 191 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Torrey Pines. Slender frame. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Primary catcher, has a low side saddle set up with a quick transition displaying accurate one hop throws. Receives the ball well, gains ground on his throws down, threw a 2.40 down to second base. Also worked out in the outfield, showed some athleticism, came to the ball well, showed good hands and footwork with a quick transition and firm accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance, hands sit high by ear with a high bach elbow. Transfers his weight well allowing him to square the ball up, showed raw opposite field pop. Has a middle away approach. Good student.
