2023 Deep South Prospect Showcase
Greyson Boyd is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from West Monroe, LA who attends West Monroe. Boyd showed some speed in the sixty yard dash running a 6.89. Primary right handed pitcher with a high wasted frame with a lean athletic build with more room for additional strength. Working with a hip high leg lift with an inline delivery and driving through the backside well. The hands break hard with plenty of aggression as Greyson creates at ton of deception within the operation. Boyd created some angle on his fastball as he showed a higher compact 3/4s arm action with some quickness within the shoulder. He commanded his fastball well to the Botton of the zone while having some late ASR at times. His Secondary pitch was a tight SL with a ton of Horizontal break and late bite to it which he went to late in counts for Ks. In the OF he shows plenty of aggression getting to the ball with some lateral range while catching the ball cleanly off to the side. The arm slot is was compact with some cary on his throws with accuracy to the bases. RHH with a shoulder length closes base with a toe tap trigger. He had some quickness within the hands with some tilt to the bat path through the zone working a a pullside approach.He is an excellent student. Boyd was named to the 2023 Deep South Prospect Top Prospect List.
