Devin Diaz is a 2026 C/3B, OF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Yorktown, NY who attends . Recorded a 7.59 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, compact frame with lean muscle throughout and room to physically mature. Primary catcher that receives from an exaggerated side-saddled stance with soft hands, quick feet out of the crouch and short, direct mid-line transfers. Gains ground towards his target, displays good hip mobility and flexibility to move laterally. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 74 mph during drills. Secondary infielder with some bounce in his steps, clean funnel out in front and some lateral range to either side. Works downhill through the baseball, displays soft hands and the ability to change arm angles when necessary. Recorded arm strength up to 73 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and a hover trigger. Incorporates good weight shift into contact, displays compact bat speed and feel for the barrel. Uses hip torque effectively to turn the barrel on the inner-half, while impacting the baseball with authority to the pullside. Projectable swing with power potential as he continues to mature. Fundamentally sound catch-and-throw skill set with some present offensive prowess, will continue to improve with minor refinements to his skills and additional strength. Excellent Student.
