Ty Popoff is a 2021 OF/LHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Galt, CA who attends Liberty Ranch. Medium frame with a lean build showing fast twitch muscle throughout the frame. Ran a 6.76 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, showing great first step instincts as he proved to have range with his speed. Gathered out front as he slowed momentum down a bit to make sure of a clean scoop. Worked online to target as he released with great one hop accuracy. Threw it 77 mph during drills. Fundamentally sound and projects in the outfield. Left-Handed Hitter, starting narrow and slightly open. Works into separation before striding out and landing balanced. Somewhat downhill swing path as he looked to attack the baseball out front. Proved he could also lift the baseball for power when he got extended. Advanced bat on ball skills showing as he found the barrel consistently. Outstanding Student. Named to NorCal Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
