Reed James is a 2027 C/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from Winnsboro, TX who attends Winnsboro. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to grow and fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.01 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate then gets tall out of crouch and into release, works through the ball and replaces feet well, shows an idea with actions and repeats with some present quickness, accurate throws down to second base, will continue to refine moving forward. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, clean movement into contact with a compact stroke through the zone. Shows some quickness in wrists, inconsistent in getting the barrel out front, has a feel for swing mechanics and will continue to develop with added strength.
