2004 World Showcase
We’ve seen Dollison a number of times during the past year but the World Showcase was the first time that we’ve seen him touch 90 mph, which is very impressive in the off-season. He averaged 86-88 mph during his two-inning stint and threw some tight curveballs at 70-74 mph. One thing we’ve noted about Dollison is that he does lack good extension on his fastball and we think that leads to this pitch being mostly straight, although it doesn’t hurt his ability to throw strikes or throw hard. When he gets the ball down it sinks pretty good. Dollison is a hard nosed competitor with good grades who should have plenty of success at the next level.
