David Simpkins is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Wesley Chapel, FL who attends Freedom. Recorded an 8.05 50-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium build. Pitched exclusively from the stretch and begins delivery with a leg lift to core level. Quick and loose arm and comes out clean. Fastball has cutting life and topped out at 82 mph. 11-5 shaped curveball and has good bite. Threw changeup effectively to left-handed hitters and pounded the strike zone. Advanced pitchability and overall feel for offspeed. Secnodary first baseman and showed a confident glove with clean turns. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with even feet. Clean load and creates lots of separation. Ball jumps off the bat and recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. Clear strength to the hands at the point of contact.
