Landon Aungst is a 2025 C/RHP/UT with a 6-3 158 lb. frame from Denver, NC who attends East Lincoln. Long and lean young build, with lots of growing ahead of him. 7.93 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up tall behind the plate and has upright actions, understandable given his length and age. Also played infield and outfield in drills and looked most athletic in the outfield, worked through the ball well with some idea of footwork between the glove and throwing, made accurate soft throws. Also pitched, has a pitcher's body and overall actions. Delivery is easy and flowing with good balance through release, lands closed out front with some cross body action to the plate that can be adjusted. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, got some running action at times. Showed good shape on a soft curveball. Right handed hitter, hits from a very spread stance, weight tends to stay on his back side, upper body swing with a mid field approach. Good student.
