KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Morning Session
Nora Brandt is a 5'6. class of 2024 1B/3B, RHP from Lakeville, MN who attends Lakeville North HS. Nora is a noticeably strong and athletic player who has advanced ability that is highly projectable. She showed her first step quickness and solid playable speed by posting a 3.35 20-yard dash and a very impressive 1.09 5-yard burst. A primary 1B, Nora has college ready skill around the bag. She positions easily and shows certain and confident footwork. She transitions quickly and her 50 mph throws are firm and on target. Where Nora truly stands out is with a bat in her hands. She is an able bunter. She'll probably rarely be asked to bunt, but she can. She starts with an open stance that she closes smoothly and easily. Her swing operation is outstanding. No wasted motion. Head doesn't move. Quiet and quick load. She gets the barrel to and through contact with force and the ball jumps. She never misses the good part of the bat. Big gap-to-gap, loud pop. Big natural raw power. She can and does leave the yard. The ball just sounds a little different leaving her bat. She made her round look easy and she is only a HS sophomore. Huge future. Definite DI potential if she keeps working at her craft. High ceiling. Bright future!
