Scott Leach is a 2024 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Ardrey Kell. Very slender young build with room and time to get stronger. 7.63 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman, has nice second base actions with a quick release from a lower arm slot, feet are active moving through the ball, stays balanced well, will continue to develop defensively as he gets stronger. Also played some outfield. Right handed hitter, has a simple timer and load with solid all around fundamentals, hands are short and direct to the ball with a line drive swing plane, bat speed will continue to improve as he matures physically. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a long side step start and a 3/4's arm action. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, showed good shape and consistency on a soft curveball. Outstanding student.
