Boyd Kay is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, UT with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Castle Rock, CO who attends Castle View. Features a lean, athletic build with room to add. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Moves well laterally with sound footwork. Still developing consistent glove timing into the catchpoint. Can create carry on throws across, reaching 80 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance into a toe tap timing mechanism. Swings on a direct path. Has some feel for the barrel when in-sync. Still developing consistent body control throughout. Right-handed pitcher. Uses a semi-windup delivery into tall and fall mechanics down the mound. Throws from a 3/4 slot with long, clean arm action. Fastball sat 76-80 mph with slight cut action at times. Pairs it with a sweeping slider at 66-68 mph. Offering can generate whiffs when thrown well. Pitch mix and mechanics should only continue to develop as the frame adds strength. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
