Jackson Henry is a 2024 RHP/SS with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Dell Rapids, SD who attends Dell Rapids. Tall lean projectable build. Stretch exclusive operation with simple belt high lift. The arm stroke is long and fluid with release out of a three-quarters slot. The fastball plays true with ample ride through the glove. Command of it was suspect early on but progressed as he got into the outing. Breaking ball features downer type break and was executed well late in counts. There’s a lot to like and build on going forward. In the infield, he preps well with a glove that works out front and in rhtyhm. He showed quality feel for the backhand mechanic with the advanced arm strength and carry to fire it on a rope from the 5-6 hole. At the plate, he sets up with widepsread base, high back elbow, and open stance. He utilizes his strong lower half well to generate power with a head that stays on it well post contact. Plenty of bat speed present with tight turns through the baseball. The approach hammered quite a few ball to the pull side on a line. Could benefit from a touch of added lift to let the power play up. 4.80 40-yard. Outstanding student. Named to the Top Prospect list.
