Manuel Guarate is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Duluth, GA who attends Duluth. Primary catcher with a medium frame and solid build. Recorded a 8.21 second 60-yard dash time. Pockets the baseball behind the plate with a developing feel for throwing with a 2.51 pop time. Strong maturing young frame that projects behind the plate with experience and game play. Showed the hands and feel for glove to play the corner infield positions. Right-handed hitter with a square wide base and small knee lift trigger stride. Separation of hands with a slight weight shift to backside and line-drive path through the zone. Strength at impact with leverage out front and present power to the pull side with backside release and rotational two-hand finish. Still developing big frame backstop with barrel awareness and strength in the box. Good student.
