2023 14U Midwest All-State Games
Caston Fox is a 2027 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Poteau, OK who attends Poteau. He has a good frame and an athletic build with a high waist and present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.67 seconds. Primary shortstop that has quick actions and moves well to both sides of his body. He has a good feel for the glove and is able to transfer the ball cleanly. He showed nice arm strength across the diamond and has the ability to generate carry on his throws. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from the third base side of the rubber. He has a slow and in control motion that starts with a knee to chest leg kick. He uses drop and drive back leg mechanics and works down the mound well. He throws with a medium arm action and fires from a 3/4 arm slot with nice explosiveness at release. His fastball is firm and gets on hitters, showing nice life through the zone. His curve has solid two plane break and is a tough offering for opposing hitters. Also worked out in the outfield, fielding the ball off of his front foot. He throws with a longer arm action and made solid low throws that were on target. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses a leg lift trigger for timing and works through the swing process with his lower half. He has a slightly uphill swing path that allows him to create nice lift on his line drives. He looks to hit the ball hard up the middle and has the ability to leverage the ball to the pull side. Named to the 14U Midwest All-State Games Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
