2023 13U/14U Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Bryant Balderas is a 2027 RHP/3B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Beach City, TX who attends Goose Creek Memorial. Medium frame with some real physicality to the build already. Ran an 8.69 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, stretch only operation with good intent down the slope, commands the fastball well to the inner half with some downhill cut, missed bats with it up to 83, bigger shape to breaking ball but shortens it up at times and spins it well over 2100 RPMs, firmer changeup as well. Mixes tempos and can project on the stuff. Plays infield too, slightly slower feet and fits at the corner, fields it deep and showed good arm across. Right-handed hitter, wide base and high hand set, big stretch and uncoils a good bit, stays wide and lets strong hands impact on a line, good jump when squared. Named to 2023 13/14 Sunshine South Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
