Nathen Paul is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Trout, LA who attends Jena. Medium athletic build. Primary left handed pitcher, has a deceptive delivery with lots of moving parts, high 3/4's arm slot, hitters don't see the ball well. Steady upper 70's fastball, fastball is mostly straight with good arm side command. Curveball was his best pitch, tunneled it well with his fastball and abused left handed hitters with the pitch, shortened up on the curveball a couple of times for more of a late slider effect. Also mixed in a couple of change ups. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow and open stance with a hanging leg load, swings hard with a line drive swing plane, squared the ball up well when he kept his front side directional through contact. 7.34 runner in the sixty, plays first base when not on the mound. Fielded his position well on the mound. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
