Colton Thorpe is a 2025 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends Timber Creek. Primary shortstop with a slender build with plenty of length to fill out moving forward. Ran a 7.26 second sixty. Works with decently quick feet on the infield getting around the ball and getting it out of the glove cleanly from the midline. Showed some arm strength across with some intent on the throws. Takes a measured approach in the outfield receiving the ball on the side away from the body and carrying the momentum into the throws with a crow hop with good direction and showing similar arm strength as the infield. Starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift with a full arm swing through the back up to an over the top arm slot. Is able to attack hitters in the zone doing a nice job repeating the delivery well with the lower half allowing him to be on time with the release point. Ran the fastball up to 82 mph and paired it with a 12-6 breaking ball from the same slot giving him some semblance of tunneling. Right-handed hitter starts in a balanced stance sitting deeper in the lower half. Gets to the power in the hands with some bat speed and strength at the point of contact when he gets on plane with extension out front. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
