Thomas (Nick) Anselmi is a 2023 LHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Dunwoody, GA who attends Dunwoody. Ran a 7.51 second sixty yard dash. Primary Left-Handed Pitcher, flashed a slender build as he throws across his body with short-arm delivery. Gets over his front side with arm side command from an over the top slot. His fastball was up to 69 mph but played up with cross body delivery and curveball in the low-60's. He filled up the zone with minimal lower body usage, but the delivery is deceptive with his release point almost coming right out of the shoulder. Showed a good feel for pitching and reading swings through his pitch selection and command. In the box, he starts with his hands low and step back stride with quick hands and slight uphill plane swing. When his timing is right, he uses his quick hands to get on top of the ball with a flatter plane swing path and makes hard contact. The use of his lower half in the swing would increase his exit velocities as his upper half works well through the zone. Good Student.
