Dan Ramos is a 2005 right handed pitcher/first baseman from Hampton New Jersey with a good frame that shows present strength at 6 ft. 2 180 pounds. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with good mechanics other than he crosses over slightly. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with some armside run. He throws 2 different breaking balls, a curveball with 11-5 break at 68 mph, and a slider with a bit more sharpness at 74 mph. His changeup was 65 mph and had very good sink at times. He had good presence on the mound and he knows how to pitch. He hits with a wide stance and a big foot raise as a trigger. He has strength in his arms and generates good bat speed and showed showed power with a home run to left during BP. He is a bit raw at the plate and his future is probably on the mound. Dan is a good student.
