Rowen Groeneweg is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Gulf Breeze, FL who attends Gulf Breeze. Lean strength throughout with study lower half. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, middle of rubber setup, leg lift to the belt and rocks into the hips before coming through with a full arm swing to three-quarters slot. Strong drive off the rubber, up to 80-mph with the four seam, tight spinning curveball in the upper 60's that was buried effectively for whiffs and strikeouts, killed spin on changeup as well for a strikeout in game while maintaining slot and arm speed effectively. Projects well here, strong for the class. Secondary first baseman, moves around the bag well, solid fundamental base here produced a clean round, deliberate turns to second. Took reps in the outfield, shorter movements and throws produced some accuracy from a lower slot. Right-handed hitter, wide base with a high hands and back elbow set, swings it hard with legitimate juice to the pull-side, strong hands, dips to backside some with a double toe tap, occasional sequencing issues but very strong and consistent contact produced. Strong and physical for the class, projects well on the bump and juice is a factor in the box. Great student. Named to 2023 13U/14U Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
