2005 Ohio Valley Top Prospect
Dan Rosenbaum is a 2006 LHP from Loveland HS in Loveland, OH, with a 6'1'', 190 lb. frame. He has solid strength throughout and an especially stronger lower half. Rosenbaum throws with a low effort delivery and a slightly closed front side to lever against. His arm action is loose and tension free. Rosenbaum's fastball was up to 85 mph with typeical lefty run away from right handed hitters. His best secondary pitch was a 74 mph change up that had hard sinking action with nice deception. Rosenbaum's curveball was a solid pitch, too, at 71 mph with good spin and a late, sharp break to it. Rosenbaum also plays outfield when he isn't pitching and showed some bat speed at the plate with a quick, short swing and solid line drive contact. Rosenbaum is a very good left handed pitching prospect who can pitch at the highest levels of college baseball. Very good follow. Rosenbaum is also a good student.
