2006 Uncommitted Showcase
Daniel Bell is a 2006 right handed pitcher and outfielder with a 6'1" 220 pound frame from McLean, Virginia who attends McLean High School. He has a thick build with good strength. He threw in an indoor bullpen due to weather problems. Daniel throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and his arm works pretty well. He has good arm speed and throws downhill. He has a loose arm and finishes very well. He throws strikes with all of his pitches with movement as well. Bell's fastball was 79-83 mph but he looks like he would throw harder under better circumstances. His fastball had good life and he also has the ability to cut it. His curveball had tight 12-6 rotation at 68 mph while his slider was very tight and small at 75 mph. He also throws a change up at 71 mph that is a very workable pitch. Daniel is a competitor who throws 4 pitches for strikes. He should be able to help out a college program in the near future. He is also a very good student with a 3.8 gpa and a 1320 on his SAT.
