Sport Gros is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Broussard, LA who attends Ascension Episcopal School. Long and athletic frame with broad shoulders and room to fill out. Ran a 7.65 in the sixty yard dash. Primary short stop, soft hands with a quick and easy transfer, rounds the baseball and controls the body well, made on line accurate throws with some carry behind them up to 72 mph. Also pitched, keeps the back foot anchored with a small side step in the wind up, compact arm action that gets out of the glove quick, loose and fast arm with a low effort release, fastball peaked at 73 mph with straight life to it, advanced feel to spin a curveball that flashed two plane movement with tight spin. Right handed hitter, slightly open wide base, pre set hands with a minimal load, upper body driven swing with an uphill path, developing bat speed and feel for the barrel.
