Edwin Gonzalez Ortega is a 2024 OF with a 5-11 152 lb. frame from Aibonito, PR who attends Reborn Christian Academy. Slender athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Primary outfielder on defense, light on his feet and quick to the ball, has good footwork in his transitions and builds momentum through his throws, good direction through release. Has run as low as 6.52 in the sixty at PG showcase. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, has a loose swing with good barrel to ball skills, stays on top of the ball and sprays liners to all fields, will continue to improve as a hitter as he gets stronger.
