Malakai Lopez is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Cathedral City, CA who attends Rancho Mirage. Slender build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Primary infielder, showed some athleticism, moved well laterally to both sides of the field. Displayed smooth hands and quick feet with a quick transition. Was comfortable throwing from multiple arm slots. Right-handed hitter, has a simple swing with a direct hand path and natural loft to it. Showed the ability to hit the ball well to the middle of the field. Consistently made soft contact , will continue to get strong and he gets older. Good student.
