Damian Ayala is a 2026 C/OF with a 5-1 121 lb. frame from Sylmar, CA. Medium build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.39 seconds. Primary catcher, has a higher side saddle set up, displayed a short arm action with a longer transfer. Consistently made soft accurate throws, the arm strength will continue to develop as he gets older. Was clocked at a 2.62 pop time on throws down to second base. Also worked out in the outfield, came to the ball well, displayed a quick transfer with a lower arm slot, was clocked up to 64 mph on throws from the out field. At the plate, hits from a wide open stance, hands load back with a big leg kick tricker. Has a flat path through the zone , consistently made soft contact up the middle. Excellent student.
